Elite Warriors/Pathetic Soldiers is my little online hub for assorted odds and ends that emerge through research, casual conversations, and recollections of amusing events in the pursuit of new knowledge. We'll primarily look at the Second World War - joining thousands of others on the same subject! However I feel this will be set somewhat apart by its new discussion of interesting innovative subject material - and hopefully have some vague use as a reference point for the more casual user until I get my Website up and running.

I'm a professional military historian, with my first publications due out in 2013, much of time at the moment is the dull process of 'dotting the Is and crossing the Ts' or resolving conflicting accounts and statistics, this sort of exhaustive work is what hopefully will make my forthcoming work stand out from the crowd and engage a new generation with the subject matter.

The main areas that will be explored here will be Wales during WW2, the role of the British Civilian-Soldier, the British Liberation Army in North-West Europe, German forces in North-West Europe... to top it off we'll look at the kit they use, review suitable books - all that malarkey, a good comprehensive resource!
